Redirect not working for password reset

I've been using your extension to redirect from the core profile editor to the Community Builder profile editor and it works great!
I just came across a problem though. When I set someone to reset their password on their next login, when they login they are taken to the standard profile editor at component/users/profile?layout=edit to update their password instead of the Community Builder profile editor.

EDIT: I am running the latest version of the plugin, 1.8.3, on Joomla 3.3.6

We had addressed this issue with version 1.8.2
Apparently, not completely. Please allow us a few days to research and attempt to replicate on our test servers. Once we are able to replicate the issue, we will have a better chance of resolving.
We will post an update here once we finalize and resolve the issue.
You will also of course, be able to update your extension directly on your site using the 'Extension Manager' Update Option.

I'd love to change the world... but they won't give me the source code!

Sorry, our apologies. After re-reading our notes on the update for version 1.8.2, what you report happening is the correct process.
In Joomla 3.3.x, all 'forced' password reset requests are handled through Joomla directly, and therefore we are unable to intercept and redirect to other components.
This is not a limitation of our plugin, but rather a limitation of Joomla itself. We hope that this process is changed in a future release, but for now, our hands are tied.

Honestly, I don't see this changing anytime soon.
It would have to be seen by the Joomla Development team as an issue. Frankly, its just an inconvenience because it doesn't keep the reset from being able to happen. Unfortunately, it just doesn't allow us to provide a work around.
