Sorry, our apologies. After re-reading our notes on the update for version 1.8.2, what you report happening is the correct process.
In Joomla 3.3.x, all 'forced' password reset requests are handled through Joomla directly, and therefore we are unable to intercept and redirect to other components.
This is not a limitation of our plugin, but rather a limitation of Joomla itself. We hope that this process is changed in a future release, but for now, our hands are tied.
I'd love to change the world... but they won't give me the source code!
